Can my assessment still take place?
Yes. We are still conducting assessments, but instead of travelling to a centre, it will be delivered via video or a phone call. You can call us to book in, email us at email@example.com or go to our online booking form on the website under the ‘Book Assessment’ tab.
What is a remote assessment?
Remote assessments are similar to face-to-face assessments. We are conducting them via video or phone call. If you would prefer a video assessment, we will email you instructions for setting this up and accepting the meeting request from your assessor.
The assessment will follow the structure of a friendly discussion with your assessor and will last around 1.5-2 hours. The assessor will be able to answer any questions you have about DSA and guide you towards the best support available for your needs through screen share during the assessment.
We aim to offer a friendly, welcoming experience, so please don’t be worried, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
For a phone assessment, it will be conducted in the same way as a video assessment, but the assessor will send additional links to software demonstrations and further information about the recommendations.
Can I have a face-to-face assessment?
For the safety of students and assessors, we are not conducting face-to-face assessments at this point in time, in line with Government guidelines. If you are unable to complete an assessment via video call or phone, you can ask to be put on a waiting list for when we reopen our centres.
